The program applies a fixed pre-tax deduction to each participating employee's paycheck. This lowers their taxable wages.
The FICA rate of 7.65% stays the same, but it applies to a smaller amount of taxable wages, so the employer's FICA liability goes down.
Employees' post-tax allotment savings help fund their participation and cover the program fees, so there are no out-of-pocket costs to the employer or employees.
Employees get preventive care benefits at no out-of-pocket cost to the employer or employees.
This is a tax savings, not a credit. Savings are realized each time you run payroll.
*Benefit availability and tax treatment are subject to employee eligibility, participation status, and applicable federal regulations. Not all employees will qualify for all benefits described. Benefits, contribution amounts, and coverage features may vary based on payroll structure, employment classification, hours worked, and plan administration. This material is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Exact paycheck effects depend on each employee's pay and the plan setup, and are reviewed with you by the program's advisors on the call.
An eligible employee is enrolled through a guided, digital onboarding process and joins a 30-minute onboarding Q&A. They can then use virtual care, prescriptions and the other benefits for themselves and, where the benefit allows, up to 7 more people in their household.
There's no utilization requirement. Employees can use the benefits as often as they need.
